OVERLOAD
Neon robots frozen mid-dance. Step into a cyberpunk frame.
Downtown LA · 677 Imperial St
NEONIKA isn't a gallery you walk past — it's seven rooms of neon you walk through. Touch a column and it sings back. Step into a mirror maze and become a hundred neon versions of yourself. Lie down under glowing clouds. All of it happens in Downtown LA, at 677 Imperial Street, an hour at a time.
Los Angeles already has galleries, museums and pop-ups by the dozen. NEONIKA is something new for the city: an immersive neon experience built room by room as a single 60-minute journey. No velvet ropes, no "do not touch" signs — the art reacts to you.
Each of the 7 worlds is its own atmosphere. OVERLOAD drops you into a cyberpunk frame full of frozen neon robots. RESONANCE lets you play a glowing column like an instrument. SHELL invites you to sit inside a pink fur coat. FILLING is a ball pit where projections chase you across the surface. By the time you walk out, your camera roll looks like a small film.
We opened NEONIKA in the Arts District because that's where Los Angeles is most itself right now — converted warehouses, late-night food, and visitors looking for something that doesn't exist anywhere else. We're proud to be the first venue in LA dedicated entirely to immersive neon.
